The Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) and UK Trade & Investment are jointly organising an event at Culham Science Centre on the 23rd September 2010.
The objective is for UK companies to understand the procurement process and procurement opportunities that are arising from the construction of the International Tokamak Experimental Reactor (ITER) which is under way at Cadarache, France at a cost of well over 5 BEuros. ITER will take 10 years to build and will require conventional and also specialist engineering expertise.

The EDF Energy UK supplier forums for nuclear new-build are to be held at Bridgwater, Somerset on the 6th of July and Woodbridge, Suffolk, 8th July.
The aim of the UK Supplier Day events is to ensure that local companies are aware of the opportunities that EDF Energy investment plans will create. Presentations and panel sessions led by key EDF Energy staff from engineering, quality and procurement divisions will help companies understand the requirements and how they can get involved.
