• The NAMRC - building and enhancing the UK civil nuclear industry

The Nuclear AMRC is a joint initiative with industry, The University of Sheffield and The University of Manchester’s Dalton Nuclear Institute.

The consortium forms part of the Government’s Low Carbon Industrial Strategy and is at the forefront of enhancing manufacturing capability by assisting members to increase quality, reliability and efficiency and reducing costs and complexity. It delivers this by taking laboratory tested processes into prototype real size precommercial manufacture with the necessary validation and accreditation processes.

Working in partnership with Government and business, the Nuclear AMRC is designed to be the focal point for the civil nuclear manufacturing industry in the UK. The services provided to consortium members will enable them to be match-fit to win and hold contracts in the global civil nuclear market place.
